A

individual that has a prejudicial view against anyone who comes under the strands already outline
offenders are likely to hold traditional views that do not respect the diversity of today’s society.

. thrill- commit crimes for excitement or thrill (111 cases)
. defensive- see themselves as defending their turf (43 cases)

why is reporting hate crime difficult?

A

. mass hysteria and moral panics- turn on minority groups hate crime has increased in the UK after recent terrorist attacks such as Manchester bombing and London bridge attacks. so it may be difficult to report as they are worried of consequences but also police are busy and ‘don’t have time’.
