what is a community sentence?
work in the community of some form such as:
- litter picking
- drug testing orders
- anger management
why does the custodial court give out community sentences?
to rehabilitate the offender
why does the custodial court offer discharges?
if the offence is not that serious and the offender is clearly remorseful or it is a first time offence
what is a dismal from the court?
dismissal from court and let go with no charges. either conditional or absolute. conditional if you need further help such as anger management
what do you get fines for and why?
to pay for damages made or inconvenience for things such as:
- graffiti
- speeding
