What does drive theory state?
A arousal increases, so does performance
According to drive theory, what happens to an autonomous performer’s performance as arousal increases? Why?
Increases, because they have a well learnt dominant response
According to drive theory, what happens to a cognitive performer’s performance as arousal increases? Why?
Decreases, because their dominant response is not well learnt
What does the Inverted U Theory of Arousal state?
As arousal increases, so does performance.
Up until moderate levels.
