What is the difference between a School Action and a School Action Plus?
A School Action Plus is when outside agencies need to get involved (educational psychologist, speech therapist etc.)
When would a child be defined as having special educational needs,?(SEN)
He/She has SEN if he or she has a significantly greater difficulty in learning than the majority of children the same age, or has a disability which either prevents or hinders the child from making use of educational facilities provided for children of the same age in schools within the local area
Who is a special educational needs coordinator? (SENCO)
A teacher who specialises in the assessment of children who may require help.
How often should the statement of SEN for each child be reviewed?
Annually
