1
Q

Why did American Indians want trade goods and why did Europeans want furs. Worth 5 points.

A

The American Indians wanted things they didn’t have like cloth and mateirial, brass tin and kettels, and dyes. The cloth and material was a lot easier to sew than leather was. Brass tins and kettles made cooking easier and the red dyes were good for decorating their clothing. They also wanted tools like guns and axes because they made their lives simpler. Europeans wanted ( mostly beaver pelts) furs because they made them into hats and that was a symbol of the rich and powerful and people were willing to pay a lot of money for them. They wanted money and a profit.
