Intrinsic feedback
Comes from performer themselves
Extrinsic feedback
Comes from outside source e.g- coach or teacher
Concurrent feedback
Given during the performance e.g- coach on the sideline
Terminal feedback
Given at the end of a performance
Visual guidance
Showing a skill with a demonstration
Verbal guidance
Guidance given without any demonstration, just by explaining
Manual/mechanical guidance
When a coach is in contact with with the learner, showing them the right technique
Open skill
A skill seen usually in sports like football or netball where the situation is always changing.
Closed skill
Takes place in a stable, predictable environment, and the player knows exactly what to do when
Basic skill
A skill that a player finds easy and little concentration is required to complete it
Complex skill
A skill that needs the players complete attention and concentration as it is technically difficult to perform
Low organisation skill
A skill with clear, simple phases or parts: for example, a set shot in basketball
High organisation skill
A skill with a lot of phases or parts: for examples a somersault in trampolining. Can not break these phases down
