1st class lever

A

In a first class lever system, the fulcrum or pivot point is located on the lever between the effort force and load or resistance being moved.

2nd class lever

A

A great example of a Class Two Lever is a wheelbarrow. The dirt in a wheelbarrow is the Load, the Fulcrum is the wheel, and the Force is at the end of the handles where a person lifts it.

3rd class lever

A

another example of a third class lever. The elbow area is the Fulcrum, the upper arm muscle acts as the force, and the load will be located in the hand, which could be used to lift, push, or grab. A broom is another example of a Class Three Lever.
