Weight
Involvs shifting weight to increase the strength of the muscle using a programme of exercises
(Wide variety of exercises and improves strength , M.E or power- Need knowledge of technique and need suitable facilities)
Interval
Physical taining involving alternating stages of high and low-intensity activity (includes rest, includes anaerobic exersise- needs commitment, people find it boring)
Cricuit
A series of exercises completed for a certain amount of time/reps, after one another(many different componant of exersise, all round ftness- has to be planned out, people tend to pace themselves)
Fatlek
A method of training for runners where the terran and speed are constantly changing(can be done on lots of terrains, can include reps- difficult to monito, there may not be a suitable place)
Continueous
Working the entire body for a long period of time( improves C.V.F, cost effective- people find it boring, doesnt improve anerobic fitness)
Plymetrics
Exercises where the muscles use maximum frce in short intervals of time(exercises can be specialised, increases power- need knowledge from a coach, involves gradual progress where rest is necessary)
Aerobics
Mainly doing aerobic exercise while listening to music ( improves C.V.F)
Yoga
Ancient form of exercise focusing on posture, poses, breathing and meditation (improves flexability, M.E and Balence )
Body pump
The use of low weights with many repititions and variety of exercises(C.V.F, M.E, balence and Body Compsition)
Plates
Less vigorous core exercises which focus on qualty of the exercises as opposed to quantity(improves M.E ,flexability and strength)
Spinning
Aerobic and anerobic cycling while stationary listening to music(improves C.V.F and M.E)
