Q

Where is hinge located

A

It is located in knee, elbow and ankle e.g humerus, ulna

17
Q

Where is ball and socket located

A

It is located at shoulder and hip e.g humerus and ulna

18
Q

Where is condyloid located

A

It is located at wrist e.g radius, ulna, scaphoid amd lunate

19
Q

An example of flexion

A

Completing a bicep curl(upwards motion)

20
Q

An example of extension

A

A swimmer swings arms backeards in preperation for racing dive

21
Q

An example of adduction

A

A golfer on the swings the clubs down towards the ball

22
Q

Example of abduction

A

A gymnast moves arms sideways at the shoulder

23
Q

Example of rotation

A

A tennis player serves

24
Q

Example of circumduction

A

A cricketer bowls a ball

25
Q

Example of Dorsi-flexion

A

Sprinter position their feet in starting blocks

26
Q

Example of plantar-flexion

A

A floor gymnast points their toes

27
Q

What is a tendon

A

Tendons are non-elastic fibres that attach muscle to bone and help to move them. Tendons let you apply power and movement. Tendons also grow in strength the more you use them.

28
Q

What is a ligament

A

Ligaments are elastic fibres that joins bone to bone, usually to hold things together and keep them stable. They keep your skeleton supported whilst allowing movement.
