What is flexion
Bedning movement that decreases the angle
What is extension
Straightening movement that increases the angle
What is abduction
Movement that pulls away from the midline of the body
What is Adduction
Movement that pulls towards the midline of the body
What is Rotation
Movement around a single axis pivot point
What is Circumduction
Moving in a circular or conical shape
What is dorsi-flexion
Bending or flexing the toes up,closer to the shin
What is plantar-flexion
Wxtendinf or pointing the toes down,away from the shin
Ball and socket
The head of a long bone fits into a cup shaped hole.This creates a ball and socket joint.Eg hip
Condyloid joints
Simular to a ball and socket but the ball rests at the end of the bone and not inside the socket.This allows for circular motion eg wrist
Hinge joint
A joint which only goes backwards and forwrds morion eg elbow

Allow bones to rotate.One is shaped like a cylinder and rotates inside another boje
