A

A
Penetration of frost and ice causing the subsoil to heave and the paving to rise above the original level.
Example: First winter after completion of a construction project the building remained stable, but large paved area pf adjacent paring lot rose several inches above the original level (Kaplan, ppp, Que. No.76)
