- location of CCTV / RC with no attendant.
- Pass over MC with a signal only when given hand signal.
- Stop shot of R/G {without wrong direction controls] crossing and sound horn.
- Pass foot/barrow crossings only when sure safe to do so.
- Location of secured unworked points [max 15mph].
- Location of ESR and TSR boards.
- Position lights which are being used for the WD movement.
Going in the right direction will the pilot man always ride with you?
No, usually he will, but if there is another train following you he will give you the RT3193 and send you on your way, he will then ride with the train behind you.
Going in the wrong direction will the pilot man always ride with you?
Yes, he MUST if there is no hand signaller signalling you back at the crossover at the end.
If the SLW has not been published in the WONS what does the pilotman have to ensure is done, and if the pilot man is not traveling with you, you need to make sure are done?
- Tell PIC of platforms affected that SLW is in operation
- Tell anyone working on or near the line that SLW is in operation
- Tell crossing keepers SLW is in operation
On SLW in the right direction how will the movement be controlled?
Making use of the normal signalling equipment.
On SLW in the wrong direction how will the movement be controlled?
By hand signallers and shunt signals where possible.
What is the speed limit of SLW wrong direction?
50mph, 15mph over points
