Rotator cuff strain/tear- ss/px/pom
ss- pain around shoulder girdle, mc/ supraspiatus, typically pain with particular action of shoulder, overhead work/athelets
px- Empty can/ext rot, horn blowers, belly press, bear hug, lift off,
myofascial pain of supra
ss- a referral that travels towards the lat deltoid
px- sustained pressure over supra, painful arc (60-120), overhead work
Biceps tendinosis
ss- will experience ant shoulder pain and is aggravated with most active motion in the shoulder
px- Speeds, Yergasons, TT bicep tendon, hyperextension test, AROM flex
Inpingement syndrome
Pain in/around shoulder, especially anteriorly. Pain w reaching up and behind back with int rot
px- Hawkins kennedy, neer, Dull/achy shoulder pain w abd >90
AC joint sprain
ss- occurs following trauma, pinpoint pain at AC and horizontal add
px- obriens, Horizontal add, step defect, piano key sign +ve
4 types of AC joint injury
I- Mild irritation, separation, AC joint stretch
II- AC lig torn, CC stretch
III- Torn AC and CC ligs
IV- Clavicle displaced post, AC and CC torn
Adhesive capsulitis
ss- stiffness and pain in shoulder jt that gradually worsens over time
px- passive ROM is more painful then active
-painful capsular end feel with er and abduction
3 stages of Adhesive capsulitis
freezing- any mvmt of shoulder causes pain, progressive loss of arom, prom normal
Frozen- pain diminish but shoulder becomes stiffer, PROM becomes v painful
Thawing- ROM begins to improve, slow recovery
TOS
ss- pain in shoulder, numbness in fingers, pot diminished radial pulse/discoloration of hands
Px- Adsons (scalene), Edens (constoclavicular), Wrights (pec minor), EAST (ulnar dis)
Glenoid labral tear
ss- pain w overhead or cross body activities, snaps, pops, catching, decreased rom, prior truama
px- pain/crepitaus, decreased ROM, Obriens, Crank, Biceps load, Kims (inf), Jerk (inf)
Osteolysis of distal clavicle
ss- occurs from overuse injuries, gym goers who over do bench, weight training painful
px- obriens, horizontal abduction, ac joint testing, xray
pom- conserve with special form on rest

Hyperparathyroidism, scleroderma, RA, Infection
