- the first PM parks their truck out of the way but goes directly to the scene
- all other trucks stage one block away in the direction of travel. All units will announce their location/direction upon arrival

Any officer can be designated by Command as the Staging Officer. If no designation then the first arriving officer to the Staging Area will be the Staging Officer.
–If the first arriving officer is a LD Officer then staging will be transferred to the first arriving EN Officer
Responsibilities of the Staging Officer

- Check in of all incoming resources
- Dispatch resources at the request of the IC or Operations Chief
- Request Logistics Section support as necessary for resources located in the Staging Area
What is the purpose of rehab?

To ensure the proper physical and mental condition of members at emergency operations in order to maximize scene safety and health protection
Who will be the Rehabilitation Officer? What will their radio designator be?

An EC or paramedic will the Rehabilitation Officer.
They will be known as “Rehab”
