What is Salvation History?
The events that led to our redemption from eternal separation from God
What is Creation?
God created us with the end in mind, that we may be with Him and loved by Him
What is sin?
First sin- disobedience to God, the Source of All that is Good)
Depravity- a lack of goodness or a tendency/inclination to sin
What is the Ancient Nation of Israel?
Is the first ancient nation to worship and obey the One True God; sets the stage for the Incarnation
What is the Incarnation?
God becoming human/flesh
What is the Paschal Mystery?
Jesus’ passion (suffering), death, Resurrection, and Ascension
Pentecost
Ten days after Ascension; bestowing of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other disciples which gave them courage, wisdom, and the gift of different languages
What is the Church?
Our Lord’s mission to tell all generations of humanity about redemption that He had won for us continued through the Church, formed through the faithfulness of the apostles and disciples of Our Lord.
What is Awaiting the Second Coming?
The rest of human history, including our lifetime
What is the Second Coming/Parousia?
When Our Lord comes again
What is Final Judgement?
Jesus will justly bring to all people the eternal consequences of our choices in this life
What is Heaven?
Eternal togetherness with God, the Source of All Good
What is Hell?
Eternal separation from God
What are the events of Salvation History (in order)?

Creation- the act of bringing something (everything) into existence
Jesus left the Apostles with a command and promise (go out to all the world and preach the Good News and “I’ll be with you - all those who believe - until the end” respectively)
During our awaiting of the Second Coming, God gives us blessing to woo us
The Second Coming is also the end of all evil

How many books are in the Bible/Sacrad Scriptures?
73 books (46 in Old Testament, 27 in New Testament) But sometimes there are only 39 books in the Old Testament since many Protestant Churches use only 39 books
What is Revelation?
Comes from Greek word meaning “unveiling”; a sort of new beginning

What does Alpha and Omega mean?
Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet, and Omega is the last letter of the Greek alphabet. Theologically, they mean that God has no beginning or end.
How is the anchor a Christian symbol?
The anchor contains a Latin Cross.
What is the origin of the word Theology?

Deities; in modern day, it means One True God
