Q

Algorithm for VF/Pulseless VT?

A

SHOCK
Chest compression for 2 mins
Asses pulse
Asses rhythm

After 3rd SHOCK give:
IV adrenaline 1mg
IV amiodarone 300 mg

Repeat adrenaline in alternate cycles

Q

What is VF?

A

Uncoordinated contraction of thecardiac muscleof theventriclesin theheart, making them quiver rather than contract properly.
If VF present it will likely degenerate further intoasystole(“flatline”). This condition results incardiogenic shockand cessation of effective bloodcirculation.
