A
the body is able to make things happen in different parts of the body at the right time

- the nervous system

what is phototropism?
A
plants being able to respond to the direction of light and grow towards it

what are the three things that a coordinated response requires?
A
- a stimulus
- a receptor
- an effector

what does the stimulus do?
A
change in the animal’s surroundings e.g. a ball is thrown towards you

what does receptors do?
A
the organ which detects the change e.g. your eye

what does the effector do?
A
muscles are the effectors and they contract as you catch the ball
