- For emergencies and short time periods
- Loosely over nose
- 40-60% oxygen delivery
- Contraindicated for pts with COPD bc can cause further CO2 retention

Non Rebreather or Face Mask with Reservoir Bag
- 60-80% oxygen
- Turned on at 10 L/min
- Valves allow some but not a lot of expired air come back in

What is this called and what are it’s functions?
A
- For Pts with COPD or critically ill that require constant and consistant O2 concentrations
- Select flow meter set to oxygen you want
- 4 – 12 L/min
