What is a snapshot study?
Where different groups of people are tested over a short period of time, at the same time
What do snapshot allow us to measure?
It allows us to compare performances between a group of individuals
What is the main advantage of snapshot studies over longitudinal studies?
They are quick and inexpensive
Can be easily replicated and modified
What are longitudinal studies?
Where one participant are a small group of individuals are studied over a long period of time (period samples of behaviour)
What do longitudinal studies allow us to measure?
It allows us to track development and monitor changes over time
What is an advantages of longitudinal studies?
There is a reduction in participant variables as the same person/people are being studied
