Central tendencies inform us about -

About the central or middle values for a set of data. They are averages - ways of calculating a typical value for a set of data.

Mean -
A
Add all up and divide by how may you added up by. Only with ratio and interval level data.

Median -
A
Middle value in an order to list, Even number of data will represent two median values. Can be used for ratio, interval and ordinal.

Mode -
A
Most common value in the set of data. With nominal data it is the category with the highest frequent number. Two categories with the same amount is referred to as bi-modal.
