To redraw the map of Europe since WW2 was ending

In order to stop Nazi Germany, it was decided that it be divided into 4. It will also be demilitarized and denazificationed
What was decided about the citizens of the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia at Yalta?
They were to be handed over to their respective countries regardless of consent
How did Roosevelt get Stalin to commit to joining the UN?
He told them each of the five participants would have a veto power on any ruling

Soviets wanted reparations and a weakened Germany

They wanted a renewed western European economy that depended upon a unified Germany

US aid offered to all European countries that had strings attached related to economic policies

To install communism in all states liberated from Nazi Germany

Hungarians revolted, this was short lived as it was crushed by the soviet army
Why was it a cold war and not a hot war?
Because there was lack of common enemy to fight so it was replaced with ideological conflict

Stronger than before when they entered it with many resources like a military and economic and political influence
