Progressive neuro deficits - must go to Er

A

Rapid onset of

  • weakness, numbness, tingling
  • blurred/decreased vision
  • other CN changes
  • loss of speech
  • dizziness, loss of balance
  • sudden severe HA
  • uncontrolled seizure
  • acute infection associated w/ neuro signs

Things to get checked out

A

-myelopathy symptoms (atrophy, fasciculations)
-abnormal reflexes
-changes in vitals
-bi or unilateral radiculopathy or paresthesias
-Neuro signs unrelated to dx
-unexplained referred pain
Unexplained sig UQ/LQ weakness
