- Announced on August 16th
- Calcutta was given to India, despite being surrounded by Muslims areas
- In Punjab, Ferozpur and Gurdaspur were given to India, both with Muslim Majorities
- By awarding Gurdaspur to India, they now had a border with Kashmir, making future disputes inevitable

A
- Muslims were disappointed
- Jinnah told Muslims that the award was
“wrong, unfair, and perverse” - Partition had taken place earlier and not much could be done now

- 20 million displaced
- 10 Million came to Pakistan
- 1 million were slaughtered on their way
