  • parasympathetic supply of the facial nerve (vidian nerve) will be the cause loss of lacrimation, dryness of nasal and paranasal

  • facial nerve does supply anterior 2/3rds but chorda tympani is responsible for secretermotor supply, taste and distal part supplies sensation so cannot be this
