Random inspections are carried out by teams throughout the production process
aim is to spot any defaults/problems and remove them
specifications are set before checks are carried out, if they achieve set standards they are likely meeting customer demands

Strengths and Limitations of Quality control
Strengths-
improves efficiency ,competitiveness and quality
reduces costs around waste/faulty products
Limits-
rejected products are waste
training qualified ppl to inspect costs time and money
bc its random samples some defects can make it through

A business can promise a set standard of quality to its customers
prevents quality issues before they occur
proactive strategy, process oriented

customers feel happy buying a quality product (increases effectiveness)
increases efficiency and competitiveness

Limits-
expensive to implement
time consuming documentation
difficult to maintain ISO standards

efforts to improve happen on a continuous basis, there is no stopping improvement
higher and higher standards are set, and there is constant evaluation
What is customer focus?
the aim for all employees to keep customers satisfied and happy
