advantages:
-same diagnosis from different psychologists
-helps communication caregivers
-structured
disadvantages:
-confirmation bias
-criteria can be limiting in diagnosis
incremental validity
extent to which additional information or measurements help the assessment process
structured interviews
follow a script but can use additional follow-up questions
