PRINCE2 Agile - Managing a Stage Boundary process Flashcards

1
Q

How is CBJ measured in PRINCE2 Agile?

A

In Agile, there are less formal milestone at which the project is cancelled. Generally, the project is cancelled when the value drops off / CBJ is lost. This is monitored on an ad hoc basis and the formal checks present in pure PRINCE2 are not needed.

PB gets more information on progress and is less reliant on reports.

A stage boundary is still needed in PRINCE2 Agile. They are sometimes called firebreaks.

Q

Why are stage boundaries still needed in PRINCE2 Agile?

A

The Agile team focuses on the product, but they are not aware of the wider context of the work. They need to check in at set points with the PM to confirm the product still matches the market needs and is still viable.

Q

How should stages be planned in a PRINCE2 Agile project?

A

How long stages are should be defined in advance and before work is added it. That is, stage length and the structure of the project should be shaped by the needs and risks of the project, not the work being delivered.

Frequent releases should be planned in advance.

End stage report and planning the next report is created collaboratively.

How is Reporting handled in PRINCE2 Agile?

A

In PRINCE2 Agile, sprint reviews take place at the end of each sprint, so highlight reports are not strictly needed.

End stage reports are still needed.

  1. How much is being deliver?
  2. What is the quality of what is being delivered?
  3. What benefits have been realised?
  4. Is Agile being used appropriately?
