How do Platelets form?
A
Under the influence of the hormone thrombopoietin, Myeloid stem cells develop into megakaryocyte colony forming cells that in turn develop into precursor cells called “Megakaryoblasts”.
They transform into megakaryocytes and then fragment into 2000-3000 parts.
