How can you identify those at highest risk of developing breast cancer?
Family history, reproductive/hormonal factors, mammographic density, physical exercise, reproduction (breast feeding), post-menopausal syndrome.
How can aspirin affect the likelihood of GI cancer?
Can reduce the risk if used for a minimum of 5 years at a dose of 75-325mg/day
What drugs may be used in the prevention of breast cancer?
SERMs (tamoxifen and raloxifene), aromatase inhiitors (anastrozole, letrozole, exemestane) as well as metformin and bisphosphonates
What drugs may be used in the prevention of prostate cancer?
reductase inhibitors (finasteride, dutasteride) reduce low-grade tumours, but may increase size of high-grade tumours. Vitamin E and selenium INCREASE the risk of prostate cancer.

Beta carotene
