A
Benzodiazepines - treat agitation/seizures/HTN (and reduces risk of MI)

What are the signs of opiates overdose?
A
o depressed consciousness, decreased RR, decreased tidal volume, miosis (pupil constriction), hypotension, response to naloxone (opioid receptor antagonist)

Explain the management of alcohol overdose
A
Can be slept off, but glucose <4 should be treated

What might suggest someone has drank antifreeze (methanol and ethanol)?
A
A severe high anion-gap acidosis with a high osmolal gap, consider co-ingestion with ethanol

fomepizole
