What is meant by mononeuritis multiplex?
Several individual nerves are affected
What is meant by axonal degeneration?
Damage to the nerve fibre from the periphery. Seen most often in toxin neuropathys
What is meant by a radiculopathy?
Disease affecting the nerve roots
What is meant by polyneuropathy?
Diffuse symmetrical disease usually commencing peripherally

Median

Ulnar

What is the treatment for cauda equina syndrome?
Urgent MRI and decompression
What is thoracic outlet syndrome?
A fibrous band or cervical rib extends from the tip of the C7 treansverse process towards the first rib to compress the lower brachial plexus roots (C8 and T1)
