- L3 migrate to moist areas/wounds
- eye, male genitalia
(rare- aberrant migration)

SMALL strongyles
eggs not seen on fecal but BRIGHT RED L4/L5 easily seen in feces
larva in GI wall may undergo hypobiosis and remain dormant. then leave en-masse in WINTER/SPRING -> suddent weight loss, colic, diarrhea in YOUNG HORSES
tx: avermectins, but hypobiotic may be more difficult
