Integrative Week 1 Quiz Flashcards
Tricep
Insert - olecranon
Action - extends elbow
innervation - radial n.
- long head originates on cd. scapula and also flexes the shoulder
- lateral head originates on tricipital line (lateral humerus)
- accessory head originates on humeral neck
- medial head originates on crest of lesser tubercle (medial humerus)
Quadriceps
Origin
- rectus femorus - ilium
- vasti muscles - proximal femur
Insertion - Tibial Tuberosity (tendon contains patella)
Action - extend stifle (RF also flexes hip)
Innervation - femoral n.

Deep pectoral
origin - ventral sternum
insertion - lesser tubercle, aponeurosis to gr. tubercle
action - pulls trunk cranially, flex shoulder and bring leg caudally when not weight bearing
innervation - caudal pectoral nerves (C8, T1)
