Upper abdo pain, radiating to back Painless obstructive jaundice Abdominal mass Splenomegaly, ascites, palpable gallbladder Weight loss, fatigue, N&V, anorexia Diarrhoea, steatorrhoea Supraclavicular lymphadenopathy Tender subcut fat nodules
What investigations should be done for pancreatic cancer?
Bloods CXR Abdo US CT ERCP/MRCP PET Laparoscopy
What are the management principles in pancreatic cancer?
Radical surgery- <10% have operable disease
Palliation
What is the radical surgical management of pancreatic cancer?
Pancreatoduodectomy (Whipple’s)
Who is eligible for a Whipple’s?
Fit patient
Tumour <3cm
No mets
What palliative surgery is available for pancreatic cancer?
Stenting
