10mcg/kg
What is the calculation for IM Ceftriaxone?
50mg/kg, max 1g.
1g diluted with 3.5% lignocaine, where 1mL = 250mg
What is the calculation for IM Morphine?

0.1mg/kg
Calculated dose should never exceed 0.5mL
What is the calculation for IM Naloxone?
10mcg/kg, max 400mcg IM per dose.
Rpt. once after 10mins if inadequate response.
What is the calculation for Oral Dexamethasone?
600mcg/kg, max 12mg.
What is the calculation for Oral Paracetamol?
15mg/kg
What is the dosing regime for IN Fentanyl in paediatrics?
Small child (10-17kg) = 25mcg Medium child (18-39kg) = 25 - 50mcg
What is the paediatric dose of Methoxyflurane?
3mL + 3mL - as per adult guidelines
What is the paediatric dosing regime for PMDI Salbutamol?
2 to 6 = 2 - 6 doses
≥6 = 4 to 12 doses
4 breaths per dose, 20min interval rpts as per adults
What is the paediatric dosing regime for Nebulised Salbutamol in Severe Asthma?
Sml child (2-4) = 2.5mg nebulised Med child (5-11) = 2.5 - 5mg nebulised Rpt 20min intervals
