What do pluralistis believe about the media?
There is no dominant ruling class, but many competing groups with different interests. The media is driven by the wishes of the consumers. Audiences won’t consume something that doesn’t match their views. The mass media is essential to a democratic society fo ensure their is a platform to express the views of each political group. Many people get their knowledge of politics from the media, pluaralists argue that owners are impartial in this process. The readers hold the power which links to the uses and gratification model.

The BBC is still seen to be biased it could be argued that they have agenda setting such as opinions on counter culture. Some also said they covered Brexit negatively and Jimmy Saville was covered up by the BBC to save their reputation.
