How can you increase the rate of diffusion?
Increase the temperature (particles move faster).
Increase the concentration gradient (bigger difference in concentration).
Decrease the distance particles have to travel.
Increase the surface area for diffusion.
What is diffusion?
the movement of particles from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration until they are evenly distributed.
