What is ORM?
A systematic, decision-making process used to identify and manage hazards. Tool for both on and off duty.
What are the 5 steps?
Identify Hazard – list all hazards associated
Assess Hazard – for each listed deter degree of probability and severity
Make risk decisions – decide if benefit outweighs the risk
Implement controls – eliminate hazards or reduce degree of risk
Supervise – take corrective actions when necessary
What is Class A mishap?
Damage is $2,000,000 or more, injury or fatality or permanent total disability results
What is Class B mishap?
Damage is $500,000 - $2,000,000 , injury or permanent partial disability occurs or 3 or more
Personnel are inpatient hospitalized.
What is Class C mishap?
Damage is $50,000 - $500,000, a non-fatal injury that causes any loss of time beyond the day or shift. For reporting results in 5 or more lost workdays beyond the date of injury.
