objection Flashcards
Objection:
“We want to think it over.”
Response:
“I understand. Let me ask you a question… do you feel I can sell your home?”
→ (Wait for response)
“Great. So let’s do the right thing and sign the contract so I can help you get what you want in the time you want. Won’t that be great?”
Objection:
“We want to interview other agents.”
Response:
“I completely understand. Let me ask you something—what specifically are you looking for in the right agent?”
→ (Let them respond)
“Based on what you just said, I believe I’m the best agent for the job. Why don’t we go ahead and put the home on the market tonight and start getting results?”
Objection:
“Your commission is too high.”
Response:
“I understand… and you know, you only pay a commission if I get the home sold, correct? My job is to get you the most money in your pocket—don’t you think that’s worth hiring the best?”
Objection:
“We’re not ready to list yet.”
Response:
“I can appreciate that. Let me ask—if you did feel ready, is there anything that would stop you from listing with me today?”
→ (Gauge real objection)
“Since there’s nothing stopping you, why don’t we take the first step and get the paperwork started—there’s no pressure to rush, but this way, we’re ready when you are.”
Objection:
“We want to try selling it ourselves.”
Response:
“I respect that. Let me ask—if there was a way I could show you how I can net you more money even after my commission, would you be open to seeing that?”
Objection:
I’m not willing to lower my asking price
How would you feel if six months from now your home was still on the market?
