causes contraction of bronchial airways
causes reduced body temperature (sleep)
NSAIDS
Inhibits COX1 and COX2 pathways
(causes up-regulation of lipoxygenase pathway - cause atshma attack)
contra-indicated in renal dysfunction
do not give to patients with cardiovascular risk (cause heart attack)
paracetamol
used for pain and fever, not used for inflammation
can cause liver failure
NSAIDS long term side effects
peptic ulcers
bleeding
gastro-intestinal side effects
Aspirin
role in cardioprotection (inhibits platelet aggregation)
do not give to chilren up to 16 years
