Conjugation: Verb Stem + 기로 하다, 결정했어요(you know how korean like to repeat) or other verbs not 이다(이다 technically is not a verb) for 다 verbs
Verb Stem + 하기로 하다 , 결정했어요(you know how korean like to repeat) or other verbs not 이다(이다 technically is not a verb) for 하다 verbs.
EX: 결혼하기로 했어요. (We have decided to get married.)
Here, “결혼” (marry) + “하기로” (decision to) + “했어요” (have decided).
이직하기로 결정했어요. (I have decided to change jobs.)
“이직” (change jobs) + “하기로” (decision to) + “결정했어요” (have decided).
여행하기로 계획했어요.
(I have planned to go on a trip.)
“여행” (trip) + “하기로” (decision to) + “계획했어요” (have planned).
