When LTOPs are enabled, what must be the configuration of ECCS pumps? What is the exception?
No more than one CV pump capable of injecting. No SI pump capable of injecting. The exception is that all CV and SI pumps can be capable of injecting if all RCS cold legs are >330 degF
When making the pressurizer solid, what is the maximum difference in CH and LD flows that is allowed and what is the reasoning behind this?
25 gpm. This ensures that the bubble doesn’t collapse too rapidly and thermal stresses are reduced on the pressurizer
At what point in the cooldown will CV131 start controlling RCS pressure?
When the PZR spray and aux spray valves are no longer able to control pressurizer pressure
During performance of BwGP 100-5 RCS cooldown, when must SDM be monitored and at what frequency? What TS is the driver for this action?
Per TS 3.1.1, Mode 2 with Keff < 1.0. Mode 3, Mode 4, Mode 5. Verify SDM within limits of the COLR once every 24 hours
When the RCS is solid, above what RCS temperature must there be at least one RCP running?
160 degF
Which pressure sensors input into the “ARM LOW TEMP” mode of RY456 and RY455A? What are the temperature inputs into “ARM LOW TEMP”?
For RY456, the pressure is sensed from PT-406 off the ‘A’ RH suction piping from the ‘A’ hot leg and the temperature is from the auctioneered low W/R cold leg temperature. For RY455A the pressure is sensed from PT-407 off the ‘B’ RH suction line from the ‘C’ hot leg and the temperature is from the auctioneered low W/R hot leg temperature
When an RCP is stopped, below what RCS temperature can CC to the RCP thermal barriers be isolated?
180 degF
What are the CC temperature limits when RH is initially placed in service? What condition allows this limit to be raised and to what temperature?
120 degF for 3 hours. It may be raised to 128 degF for 3 hours if either unit is in a LOCA or in post-LOCA cooldown
On a down power, how soon after entering Mode 3 can the SI accumulators be isolated? Why is there a delay?
2.5 hours after entry into Mode 3. This ensures that peak cladding temperature doesn’t exceed 2200 degF during a large break LOCA

When RCS pressure is >1000 psig
What is the relationship between RCP operation and boration?
At least one RCP should be running to ensure adequate mixing
