- Hitler wanted to weaken the alliance between Poland and France.
- Hitler wanted to reduced Polish fears of German aggression (the sly dog).
- He wanted to prove that he had no quarrel/problem with Poland, just the USSR.

What were the terms of the Anglo-German Naval Agreement?
Britain gave Germany permission to expand their navy to be 35% the size of the British Navy. Germany were also allowed the same number of submarines as Britain.
REMEMBER 35% BECAUSE IT WAS SIGNED IN THE YEAR 1935.
Why did Britain sign the Anglo-German Naval Agreement?
A stronger Germany meant a stronger buffer/barrier against Communism. Britain also felt that the terms of the Treaty of Versailles were far too harsh on Germany.
