what are some supports for neuro-affirming healthcare?
1) consider co-occurring conditions
2) alternative forms of communication

3) clear communication
- provide written materials to supplement
4) sensory friendly waiting rooms
- lighting
- noise
- scents
- encourage them to do what feels comfort
- assess comfort with eye contact
5) visual aids to prepare for procedures
6) longer appointments if needed
