Delirium
A
Disturbance in attention and awareness
- Reduced ability to direct, focus, sustain, or shift attention
- reduced orientation to the environment
Develops over short period of time
Can include additional disturbances to cognition

Alzheimer’s Disease
A
Decline in memory and learning and at least one other cognitive domain
Steadily progressive, gradual decline in cognition, without extended plateaus
No evidence of mixed etiology

Frontotemporal Neurocognitive Disorder
A
Behavioral Variant:
- behavioral disinhibition
- apathy or inertia
- loss of sympathy or empathy
- perseveration, stereotyped or compulsive/ritualistic behavior
- hyperorality and dietary changes
- prominent decline in social cognition and/or executive abilities
Language Variant:
- prominent decline in language ability, in the form of speech production, word finding, object naming, grammar, or word comprehension
