Dysphagia Regurgitation Aspiration Hallitosis Chronic cough
What is found on examination of a pharyngeal pouch?
Midline lump
Gurgles on palpation
What is a cystic hygroma?
Congenital lymphatic lesion typically found in the neck on the left side
What age do most cystic hygromas present before?
2 years
What causes a branchial cyst to develop?
Failure of obliteration of the second branchial cleft in embyronic development
What are the features of a branchial cyst?
Oval, mobile cystic mass
Not on midline
Between SCM + pharynx
What are features of a carotid aneurysm?
Pulsatile lateral neck mass
Doesnt move on swallowing
