It can be referred to as the female characteristics of God.
Views of where the Shekinah rests?
There are different views as to where the Shekinah rested after the destruction of the temple.
Some believe that the Shekinah followed the JEws into ecile and others believe that Shekinah never fully left the temple area which is why Isreal is important to them spiritually.
