What is the Ner Tamid
Ner Tamid means eternal light. It is a lamp or light that is always on to show God’s everlasting presence and should be never put out.
It’s placed above the Aron hakodesh (ark).

What is the Torah scrolls?
These are scrolls that contain the Torah. They are made from animal skins and handwritten by a trained scribe. It’s attached to two staves known as the tree of life and each scroll is wrapped when not used and decorated with silver.
