A

Jewish people will confused their mistakes or wrongdoings of the previous year and try to make up for them through self reflection of seeking.

What is Yom Kippur

A

“Day atonement” the holiest day of the year for Jewish people. A festival which happens after Rosh Hashanah it is the most solemn day of the year and a time when forgiveness should take place. At the end of it, the shofar is blown once to show this holy time has ended and jews believe they enter the year with a fresh start.

How will this change a jews life

A

Many jews will fast for 5 hours as a sign that they atoning for their sins. Many jews will attend the synagogue to pray to god and ask him for forgivensss. They will also use this time to remember those people who have died. They will ask for forgivnesss and say sorry to those they have wronged in the past to ensure they have made up for their mistakes.

What is Passover

A

A festival celebrating the Jewish ancestors freedom from slavery in Egypt. It’s name comes from the fact that the jewish ancestors homes were passed Oliver by the final and worship pot plague that God sent to free them. They have painted lamb’s blood onto the doorposts of their homes and so were spared.

The Torah elks people to remember when the ancestors journeyed from Egypt to the promised land. During the 40 years they spend wandering in the desert the ancestors had to build and live in homes and booths

A

Many jews will spend the festival of sukkot earring and spending time in the sukkah which is often build in he garden of the jewish home. the open roof helps people be more connected to nature . Jewish people may buy or create lulav, which is made up of different plants like a Palm. they will wave its in different directions to show that god is present everywhere.
