What is Classroom training?

A

The key component to classroom training is structure.

The room, schedule, and activities are all highly structured

The instructor is usually a subject matter expert or a member of the training staff

A

Takes places in the work environment.

The instructor is a subject matter expert, more often a senior employee than a member of the training staff.

Due to the hands-on nature of OJT, it is only suitable for a very limited number of learners at a time. In fact, it is often one-on-one training.

Apprenticeships are an example of OJT.
